Passport to the Promised Land Day 5

Tonight was our last night of VBS.  Awwwwwwwww!  We traveled to Calvary to learn how Jesus died for you and me.  Hey, that rhymed.  There was only an hours worth of lessons and then off to the closing ceremonies.  Parents and observers came to witness what the children(and adults) learned and did during the week.  After the students sang and received their certificates of achievement, it was downstairs for some refreshments and prizes.  Our closing day refreshment is as always:

Along with the hotdogs were chips, chili, fruit and cookies.  Tasty!  Of course to top it off each child got to pick out an awesome prize (check the picture of the day for that).  Overall it was a fun and blessed week.  Totally, exhaustingly uplifting.  Can't wait for next year.

Passport to the Promised Land Day 4

Four down, one to go.  Days that is.  Can you guess how many kids we had tonight?  It's the third night in a row we've had 34!  We traveled to Capernaum to learn of Jesus' Majesty.  All the kids are still high energy and doing wonderfully in their classes.  Tonight's snack picture is a little fuzzy because I had to use a camera phone.  Still looking yummy:

Tomorrow night we close things out with our last batch of classes and our closing ceremonies.  Come to our program to experience a little taste of what we've been doing this week.  Classes start at 6:30pm, program starts at 7:30pm.

Passport to the Promised Land Day 3

I was not a very good student today and forgot what the theme was.  I know we traveled in time to the Sea of Galilee though!  We kept the same numbers as yesterday, 34!  The kids seemed to have a little more enthusiasm and energy even though it is mid-week.  Maybe all the energy came from today's snack:

Just two days left of VBS.  Not too late to join us.  See you tomorrow at 6:30pm.
